Mary Korycki is an experienced finance professional specializing in advising underperforming and distressed companies across a broad range of industries. With over 15 years of advisory experience, she has also worked with private equity sponsors advising distressed and healthy companies through merger integrations.
While at M-III, Mary has advised the debtors in both the financial and operational aspects of the Relativity Media Chapter 11, a $500 million operator of a portfolio of major studio quality films assets. Previously, she advised a distressed middle market distribution company by building financial forecast tools and models and performing liquidity analysis for the company and its lenders.
Prior to joining M-III, Mary served as a Director at Loughlin Management Partners where she advised senior lenders on situations involving both in- and out-of-court restructurings, performed business plan reviews, liquidity analysis and managed engagements day-to-day. While at the firm, Mary also served as interim Director of Accounting for a middle market manufacturer and distributer of paper products, where she built the company’s first consolidated and consolidating monthly financial reporting package, performed liquidity analysis and managed day to day financial operations.
Previously, Mary worked at Alvarez & Marsal where she advised companies including both in- and out-of-court restructurings with assets ranging from $250 million to $600 billion. During this time, Mary built financial forecast tools and models, prepared annual internal business plans for budgeting and forecasting purposes, created out-of-court wind-down scenarios and prepared merger and acquisition analyses.
Mary started her career in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Mary earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Scranton. She is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor and Certified Turnaround Professional. Mary also holds Series 63 and 79 FINRA licenses. Mary is currently the Treasurer-Elect and member of the board of the Turnaround Management Association’s New York Chapter.
