Lyle Bauck is a restructuring, turnaround and performance improvement professional with more than 15 years of experience. He has advised debtors, secured lenders, unsecured creditors’ committees and private equity funds in restructuring assignments across a range of industries.
As a seasoned restructuring professional, Lyle has contributed to numerous successful turnarounds which have received national recognition. In 2017, his client, Gawker Media, was honored as the “Special Situation M&A Deal of the Year” by the Global M&A Network. After advising the Unsecured Creditors’ Committee of Eastman Kodak Co., the Turnaround Management Association awarded it the 2014 “Mega Company Turnaround of the Year.” In 2010, he led the successful debt refinancing of Netuno USA, which was featured in The Miami Herald. Early in his career, he contributed to an interim management team that successfully restructured and eventually sold USA Capital, subsequently recognized as the 2007 “Large Company Transaction of the Year” by the Turnaround Management Association. He also has completed several successful restructurings for oil and gas, power and commodities trading companies.
Prior to joining M-III Partners, Lyle served as a Director with Opportune LLP and, before that, was with Alvarez & Marsal. Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Lyle was an equity owner and instrumental in the formation of ACM Capital Partners, a boutique restructuring firm based in Miami, FL with a focus on out-of-court turnarounds and interim management. He also spent three years at Mesirow Financial working in their restructuring practice. Lyle began his career as an auditor with Deloitte & Touche.
Lyle graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Emporia State University and earned his Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Tennessee. He played collegiate golf and was honored as a Distinguished Academic All-American. Lyle is a Certified Public Accountant and an inactive Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor.
